These terms govern your use of app.trimmytaxes.com, operated by TrimMyTaxes. By using the service, you agree to them.
What this service is, and is not
TrimMyTaxes is a self-help document tool. It generates a property tax appeal letter and a comparable-property evidence packet based on public county data and the information you provide. It is not legal advice. We are not a law firm, not a licensed property tax consultant or agent, and we do not represent you before any appraisal district, review board, or other authority. No attorney-client relationship is created. You file your own appeal.
No guaranteed outcome
Savings figures and fair-value ranges are estimates derived from available public data and general assumptions. They are not promises. Whether your assessment is reduced depends on your county’s process and your own filing. We do not guarantee any reduction or any specific savings.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information about your property.
- Review every document before you rely on or submit it.
- Confirm the deadline, forms, and filing method with your county; these can change.
- File your appeal yourself, on time. You are solely responsible for the filing.
Data accuracy
Comparable-property information comes from public county records, which may contain errors or be out of date. We present the data as obtained and do not warrant its accuracy.
Payment and refunds
The appeal packet is a one-time purchase of $49. It is a custom digital document delivered to you immediately after payment. If a technical problem on our side prevents delivery, you are entitled to a full refund. If you believe there is a problem with your document, contact us at support@trimmytaxes.com within 14 days and we will correct it or issue a refund at our discretion. Apart from that, because the product is custom and delivered immediately, sales are final.
Acceptable use
Use the service only for property you own or are authorized to act for, provide accurate identity and property details, and do not resell, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service.
Intellectual property
We own the TrimMyTaxes software and templates. The completed appeal document we generate for you is yours to use for your own property tax appeal.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrimMyTaxes’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the $49 transaction at issue. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed deadlines or denied appeals.
Indemnification
You agree to hold TrimMyTaxes harmless from claims arising out of your use of the service or your filings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do.
